Lucas Sousa was born in Recife, Brazil, where he then moved to the U.S. at the age of 6 and learned to speak English. He began singing in middle school in the school's choir and started playing guitar as a sophomore in high school. Shortly after, at the age of 15, Lucas played his first show at the Freddie Power's picking party. Loving the excitement of performing, he started a band a few weeks after that show. Since then, Lucas has played around 100 shows a year throughout the Austin area. Aside from music, Lucas attends Blinn College in Bryan, Texas, where he studies Ag Economics.
Ivan Kaderka was born in Round Rock, Texas. He started drumming at the age of 15 playing in the drumline at McNeil High School, the school he graduated from. During these years, he met Dylan O'Grady, James Naylor, and Lucas Sousa, where he went on to become the drummer for the band. He now attends College at Blinn College in Bryan, Texas, where he studies Ag Business. Every band needs a long-haired hippy he's ours, and we love em!
Dylan O'Grady, what a character! Dylan has been playing music for most of his life. He began playing acoustic guitar at the age of 6 and has been playing since. He started performing in church bands throughout middle school and high school then later began his journey with the Lucas Sousa Band. Dylan and Lucas met in middle school then went on to start the band together in high school at the age of 15. He formally played acoustic guitar for the band alongside his grandfather. Dylan was inspired to keep the bass in the family line, and now plays the bass. Dylan brings the energy to the band with his big personality; no one's louder than this guy! Now at age 20, Dylan attends Blinn college, majoring in Bussiness.
Dillion Heorster, our old man! Dillion is from Liberty Hill, where he graduated from Liberty Hill High School. He then went on to go to UNT, where he started playing music. Dillion at the time played with other bands and mainly focused on jazz and metal music. After these times, Dillion stops playing live music as he focused on starting the business he runs now. During the weekday's Dillion is a business owner of Acro-tex Gymnastist in Bee Cave, Texas, where he is also a gymnastics coach. He met the band three years ago when Dylan(bass) worked for him at his gymnastic gym. Dillion would fill in for Ivan(drums) when the group first started. He then went on to become the lead guitar player for the Lucas Sousa Band and has been the lead since. He brings a lot of knowledge to the table, and with a lot of experience in live performance earlier in his life, he took the other boys being young musicians under his wings and helped them become the musicians they are now.
